A fairytail in fourteen songs

“I heard a quote from Florence that her album Dance Fever was intended to feel like "a fairytale in 14 songs," which gave me the impression that there might be some sort of overarching story hidden within the lyrics of the album.

I couldn't make heads or tails of any fairytale hidden in there. So, since my wife is a big fan, I thought it'd be fun to write up a short book that actually did make the album into something of a fairytale. The only catch is that every time I try to write the love stories that my wife likes to read, they keep accidentally turning into, uh, tragedies.”
